Legislation of the People, For the People.

It’s Time for Change
June 23, 2022

Filed this week as part of a major overhaul in the city’s organization and structure were seven pieces of legislation brought forth by the Mayor Mickey S. Administration. The full scope of these pieces of legislation will be available once approved and implemented but for the purposes of transparency, this Administration would like to release a small overview of some of the key pieces of forthcoming legislation.

In an effort to follow through with campaign promises made, current legislation proposals include providing better resources and arms to the Los Santos Unified Police Force. As part of this legislation as well, under this administration we would like to recognize the service people of the LS UPD for their exceptional work and focus in defense of the city against a rising criminal threat, external threats, and overall protection of the citizens of Los Santos. We have as a result proposed and begun to implement an official rebranding for our police as the “Unified Defense Force.” This terminology shall be used in reference to the Unified Police force through the duration of the administration.

Additionally, this administration has spent time in speaking with the fine members of the Department of Corrections as well as providing private funding for new CVPIs as well as higher state funding and budgets to ensure their department is enabled to operate at the highest level of success. As part of an endeavor this administration is calling the Bolingbroke Amelioration effort, we have begun work on prison improvements including bringing new jobs, enablement of gambling within the prison and other recreational activities including a fishing pond, and a means to sell lawful goods outside the prison. Things like food, cigarettes, and other commissary items that our prison citizens work to make. This administration believes that they are entitled to certain rights an privileges and as such we are making every effort to provide them with such.

This administration has filed necessary legislation to recognize Dispatch and PD tow as government employees. We believe these people are entitled to government assets, funding, benefits and protections and should be covered by the law in those entitlements.

This administrations believes in paying the people of Los Santos what they are owed. As such we have begin work on plans to enhance the economy, first through an effort to pay Musicians and artists their due royalties.

All of this and more to come as this administration continues to work FOR the people. This administration is committed to your success, which is our success.
