Rescues Kidnapped Law Enforcement Officer and Thwarts Drug Trafficking Scheme

A traffic violation turned sour when a government official was kidnapped in the midst of a traffic violation on the afternoon of June 30th. Mayor Mickey S. had decided to ride alongside Sheriff Kyle Pred after meeting with the Unified Defense Force rolling the NA Tsunami, encouraging the recovering Sheriff to get back to more substantial police work. When a stop with Sheriff Pred and the Mayor escalated into a fleeing vehicle, the offender escaped only to be detained shortly after by Sergeant Brian Knight where he was abruptly taken hostage. Mayor Mickey motivated Sheriff Pred by shouting “C’mon Pred, you got this guy!” which reinvigorated the rehabilitating Sheriff who quickly responded to the call and was able to successfully aid in the detainment of the criminal who was in the process of trafficking copious amounts of marijuana.

Upon meeting with the members of the unified defense force, Mayor Mickey learned that Sheriff Pred was in the process of recovering from his time in Bolingbroke and had been taking a slow approaching to reentering the policing process. It was at that time Mayor Mickey decided he would operate in an assisting capacity and ride with the Sheriff to offer encouragement and counsel so the Sheriff would be able to be back on the path to recovery quickly.  It was the first stop where the two encountered the offender who would later be responsible for the heinous crimes. When Sheriff Pred attempted to search the man, he offered instead to place his weapon on the ground in exchange for leaving. It was at that time that Sheriff Pred notified the offender that he would be searched and the offender attempted to flee. Sheriff Pred then attempted to handcuff the individual but the offender was able to break cuffs and enter his vehicle and flee the scene before the Mayor and Sheriff could return to the charger.

Shortly after this encounter the radio call was made about the same vehicle and the abducting of Sergeant Knight. Though other officers had begun to respond, Mayor S. not being one to let Sheriff Pred miss the opportunity, began hyping the Sheriff to engage in the chase and catch the individual. It wasn’t long before the chase came to a halt and the individual attempted to flee on foot and was captured by officers. Upon searching his vehicles the officers were able to rescue Sergeant Knight and also discovered a substantial amount of marijuana packed in the trunk of the car that appeared to be prepared for delivery.  Thanks to the quick thinking and reaction of both the Mayor and the members of the Unified Defense Force, this individual and a large amount of illicit drugs have been removed from the streets. The citizens of Los Santos are now, just a bit safer.
